Scope and Contents

Highland Chapel was built after the 1939 merger of the Methodist and Methodist Protestant denominations. It replaced Stone Chapel MEC. Contains a class book that includes 1896 members from Stone Chapel and 1906 & 1908 members from Highland Chapel.

Church was founded as the Highland MEC and met with a Baptist Church. When they split, the members founded the Macyville MEC. When the membership of the Methodist and Baptist dwindled, they reunited as Highland MEC.
