Haun, Milton Mars
This series contains the handwritten correspondence and journals of Milton Mars Haun, a circuit preacher who came to Kansas in 1857. He served in the Kansas, South Kansas, and Southwest Kansas conferences and preached the first sermon in Newton, Kansas in a saloon. In total, Haun served 15 churches in Kansas and died in 1902.
Hiatt, Truman Neal
The papers of Truman Neal Hiatt are housed in two 5” document cases. The first contains unpublished materials he authored. These include a book of daily devotions, a memoir of his travels through Europe and Israel in 1957, and two books of poetry. The second box contains copies of the items in the first box and two folders with sermons, Kansas Conference records, and photographs, plus more sermons typed and stapled into a scrapbook.
