Hicks Chapel United Methodist Church was organized on November 16, 1908. After more than 110 years, the church held its final worship service on April 28, 2019. Undesignated memberships were transferred to Tisdale United Methodist Church. Many members chose to stay at the now non-denominational Hicks Chapel Church.
