Abstract
The Wichita Methodist District Union was founded in 1943 by Dr. A.E. Henry, with the stated purpose in their 1962 report of "expansion of Methodist work within the City." Three Methodist churches in Wichita-Epworth, University, and East Heights-were the first to participate. As the organization grew, their aim seems to have been the establishment of more new Methodist churches in Wichita. Eventually, their name changed to Wichita District Union.
