Kansas City, Central Avenue Methodist Episcopal Church was founded on October 18, 1982, with the merger of Taylor Chapel Methodist Episcopal Church and Highland Park Methodist Episcopal Church.
After more than 100 years of serving their Kansas City neighborhood, Central Avenue United Methodist Church was discontinued on June 12, 2005.
