Biographical or Historical Information

Very little is known about the circumstances of this book's donation to Baker University. There is no accession record for it in the archives. A book plate inside the book's front cover identifies the owner as Mrs. Hilma Johnson of Eskridge, Kansas. A search of the U.S. Census shows a Hilma Johnson, born in Sweden in 1873, married to Ludwig Johnson and living in Mission Creek, Kansas, in 1920. Mission Creek is very close to Eskridge.
