On June 18, 2006 the church conference voted to close the church. The last worship service took place on July 9, 2006. At he 2007 Kansas East Annual Conference a resolution was passed to declare that the Church of the Servant be discontinued effective June 7, 2007.
Membership was transferred to Heritage UMC in Overland Park, Kansas.
