A poem titled The Hero of Lost River: An Old Soldier’s Story, probably written during Brummitt’s time at Baker as a member of the Athenian Literary Society, is held with that organization’s papers. Brummitt’s books Shoddy and The Efficient Epworthian, as well as a pamphlet called Notes on the Epworth League Devotional Meeting Topics, are shelved in the Baker University Archives with the publications of other alumni. His memoir is in the 1939 Rock River Conference journal.
