Wichita, Brookside United Methodist Church was established on March 6 of 1957, after over a year of seeking establishment. It was located in the Plainview area of Wichita, which greatly impacted the congregation economically, financially, and historically as well as playing a factor into demographics. Brookside was also home to Brookside Vida en Cristo, which was the bi-lingual spanish service also held at Brookside UMC. Brookside eventually closed on June 3, 2020 afte rnumbers and funds significantly dropped.
