The Liberal District of the Southwest Kansas Conference began in 1918. It ceased to exist in 1939 when three of the four Methodist conferences in Kansas combined to become the Central Kansas Conference.

One ledger contained in this collection has minutes from the Liberal District between 1930 and 1939, and also has the Dodge City District of the Central Kansas Conference's minutes from 1939-1957.
