Biographical or Historical Information
George Abosamra was a rising Sophomore at Baker University (Baldwin, Kan.) in June, 1958, when he was asked by the District Superintendent in Ottawa to serve as a supply preacher at Redfield church. Redfield was about an hour and a half south of Baldwin, and Abosamra served there on weekends for several months, driving down on a Friday and returning later on Sunday.
After graduating from Baker University in 1962, Abosamra attended the School of Theology at Boston University, graduating in 1966. He served at a series of churches in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts in the 1960s-1990s. He also served as the District Superintendent in the Maine South district.
As of this writing (2018), Rev. Abosamra is retired and living in Venice, Florida, with his wife Diane, whom he married in 1961.
