Biographical or Historical Information
Fred Alphonso Allen was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 21, 1943.
He attended Pearl High (graduated 1961) and received his B.S. from Tennessee State University in 1971.
He was admitted to the Kansas East Conference on a probationary status in 1976 and was admitted to full membership in June 1979.
Rev. Allen attended the St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City in 1976. His appointments included Asbury-Mt. Olive (1978), Manhattan: College Avenue (1981), and General Board: Church and Society (1982).
He married Francena A. Phillips November 26, 1964; children were Sharonda Alese (Feb. 29, 1968) and LaChelle Renee (March 7, 1971). His second marriage was to Jacqueline DeMoss, January 23, 1982.
Rev. Allen transferred to the New York Conference in June 1985.
