Biographical or Historical Information
William Eldridge Albin was born in Iowa on December 18, 1856, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Albin. He was married to Martha Anna (Gaines) Albin (who is listed in some records as Anna Martha). Their two children, Eva M. (three years old) and Addie B. (six months), died in 1888 and are buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Norton County, Kansas.
Rev. Albin was appointed to the United Brethren in Christ Church in Edmond (Kansas) in 1906 and served there until 1908.
Rev. Albin and his wife lived in Philomath, Benton County, Oregon, at the time of his death on December 24, 1923. He was 75 or 76 and his occupation was listed as "farmer." Anna died on December 23, 1948, at the age of 84.
Rev. Eldridge’s memoir is listed in the Oregon Conference Journal, 1924, page 51.
