Biographical or Historical Information

Larry L. Ankrom was born March 16, 1945, in Falls City, Nebraska. In 1985 the charge conference for the Atlanta (Kansas) Methodist Church unanimously recommended Rev. Ankrom for the ministry. After serving as a local licensed pastor, he was officially appointed to First UMC, Potwin (Winfield district) in 1987. He served there until 1993. His other appointments were Hope (1994-1997), Hope-Herington Presbyterian (1998), and Burrton-Pleasant Grove (1999). Rev. Ankrom graduated with a BA in religion from Southwestern College on May 24, 1992. His wife was Betty Jo (born June 1, 1946); their children were Brett Allen (born 1966) and Bart Wayne (born 1970). Rev. Ankrom retired in 2007.
