Biographical or Historical Information
As of this writing (2018) there is no additional information on D. S. Alexander. It is possible that he was a supply pastor from a non-Methodist denomination. His name is not listed in the GCAH Index to Conference Journal Memoirs. The photograph has the appearance of being photocopied from a book, so he might be listed in one of the Conference minutes or in another publication.
There is a Rev. D. S. Alexander mentioned in the Ness County News for May 20, 1923; he was one of the officiants at a baccalaureate ceremony. A minister of the same name is mentioned repeatedly in the Ness City, Axtell, and other newspapers of the 1910s and 1920s, but it is always in connection with the Presbyterian church. It is possible that this minister served as a temporary supply for a Methodist church in a Kansas location.
