Abstract
This collection contains articles and book reviews written by James C. Malin, a Baker University graduate and professor of history at the University of Kansas. Malin's Baker University alumnus file is also in this collection; it contains a bibliography of his scholarly articles, photographs, newspaper clippings, and a few other papers related to his time at Baker.

Biographical or Historical Information
James Claude Malin was born in Edgeley, North Dakota in 1893. As an undergraduate at Baker University in the early 20th century, he studied history, philosophy, and biology. He also played football. Malin graduated with a bachelor's degree from Baker in 1914 and went on to earn both a master's degree and a PhD in history from the University of Kansas.
Malin was a member of KU's history faculty for 42 years. He published numerous articles and books throughout his career. He also served as a president of the Kansas Historical Society.
Malin married Pearl Keene. They had one daughter, Jane Wofford Malin.
