Biographical or Historical Information

Clarence Orville Strohl was born in 1908 in Meade County, Kansas. He graduated from Winfield High School and attended Southwestern College in Winfield. He also served as a Methodist pastor in Iowa before returning to Kansas to become president of Southwestern College. His presidency would see the addition of ten buildings to Southwestern's campus and the tripling of the college's endowment. He passed away in 2002.
