Scope and Contents
This collection contains four Pastor's Vest Pocket Assistants, three from the time Rev. Mahaffie served in Kansas, and one from Indiana. Rev. Mahaffie's ministerial record is included, as is his obituary. the collection contains calling cards and other ephemera. The collection also contains two books, Parlor Amuesments and Social Etiquette, and Illustrated School History of the United States, along with a pair of pince nez glasses owned by Mrs. Mahaffie.

Biographical or Historical Information
Albert Melvin Mahaffie was born on:September 2, 1859. He was granted an Indiana local preacher's license in 1893, and was received on trial in the Iowa conference in 1894. In 1908, Rev. Mahaffie transferred to the South Kansas Conference. He retired in 1026, and died on September 21, 1947.
Martha Agnes (McGaughey) Mahaffie was born in 1861 and died in 1935.
The Mahaffie's had four children.
