Biographical or Historical Information

Gordon Bennett Thompson was born in Dodgeville, Wisconsin on July 11, 1879. He graduated from Baker University in 1905, and from Boston University School of Theology in 1912. Thompson married another Baker graduate, Harriet K. Sterling, in 1908 and had two children. He served as the University Pastor at the University of Kansas between 1914 and 1918, and also held appointments at Parsons, Coffeyville, Dodge City, and Hutchinson, among others. He retired from the Kansas Conference in 1952 and passed away in 1966.
