Scope and Contents
The papers of Truman Neal Hiatt are housed in two 5” document cases. The first contains unpublished materials he authored. These include a book of daily devotions, a memoir of his travels through Europe and Israel in 1957, and two books of poetry. The second box contains copies of the items in the first box and two folders with sermons, Kansas Conference records, and photographs, plus more sermons typed and stapled into a scrapbook.

Biographical or Historical Information
Truman Neal Hiatt was born on March 26, 1910 in Blue Mound, Kansas. He served in the United States Army in World War II and later became a Methodist pastor, joining the Kansas Conference in full connection in 1950. He also served as a Superintendent for the Ottawa District.
